Patrick Dickie is a London based creative producer, consultant and artistic director working in opera, music and theatre. The foundation of his work is creating environments that nurture artists and audiences. He currently works with stage director Thomas Guthrie, Suzy Willson and Paul Clark, Elaine Mitchener and with Lore Lixenberg and Karen Power. He is interested in projects that strengthen the music theatre ecosystem and connect the UK to mainland Europe and Ireland.
His film Vox Pop, an essay film by Tom Guthrie about Renaissance Polyphony in the contemporary world featuring The Tallis Scholars will be completed for release in 2024.

Artistic Director, Teatro Naçional São Carlos (2015-2020) Patrick led Portugal’s national opera house for five years before the pandemic. He doubled audience numbers with a programme that included new productions by Graham Vick, James Bonas, Nicola Raab, Ricardo Pais, Ricardo Neves-Neves and Luis Miguel Cintra.
Producer/Advisor ,English National Opera (2007-2011 and 2014) Produced the ENO/Young Vic season and produced opera debuts by directors Simon McBurney, Fiona Shaw, Daniel Kramer and Benedict Andrews. Commissioned Torsten Rasch for Punchdrunk’s The Duchess of Malfi.
Associate Director/Producer, Almeida Opera/Aldeburgh Music (1998-2007) Ahead of its time for fifteen years Almeida Opera was the focal point for the development of new opera and music theatre in the UK. Composers Harrison Birtwistle, Giorgio Battistelli, Errolyn Wallen, Michael Nymn, Deirdre Gribbin, Thomas Adès, David Bruce, Emily Hall, Simon Holt, Richard Ayres, Gerald Barry all came through its doors.
